STEP 1
Step 1 is simple. Simply select start a new project and pick the style of staircase you require. You’ll find a wide range available – so it’s important to think of the setting and how the staircase will fit into the wider space. Are you looking for something contemporary or more traditional? Do you have an all wood finish in mind, or something with metal or glass?
STEP 2
Once you’ve decided on the style you’d like, our app will allow you to select and customise the newel posts, handrails, baserails, spindles and newel caps for your staircase. And when completed, you will then be able to see exactly what your final staircase will look like with all the components in place.
STEP 3
In this third and final step in our guide on how to build stairs you will need to configure your staircase. Ordinarily, at this stage you would need to get your tape measure out, and with the highest level of accuracy, measure each and every component of your staircase. However with the Plan Your Stairs app you will only need to know the general layout of your staircase and how many steps there will be up to the landing.
