A recent addition to the WorldSBK calendar. The Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit will host the penultimate race meeting of the 2022 season. With Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes ready to take on another challenge in what has been an exciting campaign so far.

“I am really excited to go to Mandalika and Indonesia because last year was our first experience of the track. I really enjoyed the whole event – everything – from the circuit layout to the atmosphere. The fans were incredible, especially in the difficult conditions. It is a circuit where we expect to be strong and last year I had a double win. I won in the wet and also in the dry, so I really want to have a nice weekend this year, keep working with our Ninja ZX-10RR and try to maximise our potential.” – Jonathan Rea – KRT World Superbikes rider
“Last year was the first year on the calendar for this new circuit. I did not get to race because I was injured but during the practice sessions on Friday, I really enjoyed it. The layout was great, it is always nice to go to new venues, and the whole Island was a lot of fun last year. I am hoping to go to there and challenge for the podiums. The weather there can be a little bit hit-and-miss, so maybe we will have some rain, but whatever the weather I am looking forward to it.” – Alex Lowes – KRT World Superbikes Rider
Next round the team head to Australia’s Philip Island Grand Prix Circuit. Jonathan Rea currently sits in 3rd place. Alex Lowes is in 6th. Whilst Kawasaki is in 3rd place for the Manufacturers Standings.
